A large dragon on a pine tree is listening to the music. A beautiful Meiji A- copy surimono. Surimono are privately issued Japanese prints for special occasions. Since these were commissioned by a wealthy person or by a poet, they often included luxury details, such a metallic inks and elaborate embossing. Surimono typically were 8 x 9 inches (20.5 x 23 cm).
