Framed Japanese Woodblock Print Pagoda of Ninnaji Temple in Snow by Ito Nisaburo. This print is beautifully framed behind glass in a gold textured edge frame. The frame measures approximately W:15.75″ x D:0.5″ x H:23.5. The cut mat window measures approximately W:11″ x H:16″. In regards to condition, the print has not been examined outside the frame, but appears to be an excellent shape. I see a few minor dust specks behind the glass, but nothing major. The frame itself shows some minor wear but overall presents very nicely. It has hanging wire on the back and is wall ready.

Up for sale is this Vintage Benji Asada Woodblock Print. This is the Pagoda of Ninnaji Temple Cherry Trees of Omuro in Kyoto Japan. Paper measures 15 3/4″ X 10.5″. The soft pink cherry blossoms in the foreground stand in stark contrast to the imposing dark pagoda in the distance. Ninnaji Temple, the head temple of the Omuro school of the Shingon Sect of Buddhism, is located in western Kyoto. Established in 888 AD by the retired Emperor Uda, it is part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. “The Pagoda at Ninnaji Temple, 1947″. The collectors guild, LTD, certifies and warrants that this is an original wood black print, pulled at the Uchida Atelier in Kyoto Japan. The Japanese characters on the print are the artists signature and his descriptive title. The scene is a tranquil view of the pagoda amidst cherry blossoms. The print is in excellent condition, the white marks seen in the photos are from the glare of the glass. The print measures approximately 10″ x 14″, and framed is 16″ x 22″.
