In the first edition copies the man’s coat is shaded in colour. PUBLISHER: Takenouchi Magobei – Hoeido / Hoyeido Hoeido are the first edition of the Tokaido series by Hiroshige. Condition is very good, there is some light fading of colour, in particular the red. The paper is in good condition with some very light yellowing. There are few impressed marks below the calligraphy, please see the detail in the pictures. No tears or damage. The print was framed and stored and the perimeter age marks of the mount can be seen, the print can also be seen through the reverse of the paper as shown and there is also an impression of the picture on the frame backing board.
