JAPANESE WOODBLOCK Print KAWASE HASUI This Genuine Japanese Woodblock Print by Kawase Hasui shows a scene of Mount Fuji in Spring. This Example displays the artists red seal in the bottom Left of the scene and is Hand Printed from the Original Hand Carved Woodblocks by the Famous Watanabe Woodblock Printing Company in Japan. It is in Excellent Condition, Has Never Been Framed, Displays Gorgeous Colours and Light and Measures 15cm x 10.2cm (5.8 inches x 4.2inches). KAWASE HASUI lived from 1883 until 1957. He is Most Highly Regarded for the Exquisite Colour, Amazing Perspective and Inspiring Ambiance of his wide Range of Landscape Woodblocks. During his Life he Created Over 600 Different Woodblock Scenes and he is Recognised as one of Most Prolific and Most Talented of Shin Hanga Artists from the Early 20th Century. It is no wonder that a Year Prior to his Death he was Honored with the Title of a Living National Treasure. Most of his woodblocks were published by Watanabe but he also had some of his work published by other companies including by Isetatsu, Bijutsusha, Kawaguchi and Sakai, Tokyo Shobido and Doi Teiichi.
