This Japanese art piece features three slender bluish-black fish with two scratchy yellow lemons over an offset background of greyish beige speckled colors. The title is hand-written in Japanese in the lower left with the date 1965. The work is signed in the lower right by the artist Tamami Shima. I have not determined the total number printed. The image measures approximately 10″ x 15″ wide and was professionally framed and matted. The black matting actually covers the signature for the finished work. The wooden frame is 3/4 wide with outside dimensions of 15-1/2″ x 20″. The glass cover is probably non-glare acrylic and has protected it well. The entire piece is in overall excellent condition for being over 55 years old. Except for minor marks on the frame. Note I did remove the print from the frame to affirm it was signed and an original, and then I put it back together untaped and unsealed. Please review the photographs carefully before purchasing. Note colors vary because the darker, brownish photos were taken in low lighting without a flash. If you are uncertain about any information Ive presented or described, please ask prior to purchasing. Mailing address only and will be insured. I hope you will be excited to add this Tamami Shima woodblock print to your collection and that you will be happy with this fine artwork for many years.
