Japanese Woodblock Print, Utagawa Yoshitora. These are reprinted Ukiyoe prints by Utagawa Yoshitora, a popular Ukiyoe artist active from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period (mid to late 19th century). This Ukiyoe depicts the Mongolian invasion described by Nichiren Shonin, and the one from that period is in the collection of the British Museum in London. Although small, the print is delicate and beautifully printed with great attention to detail. Some foxing and staining, creases, edge wear etc. The two prints are laminated.
