Shibata Zeshin(1807~1891) is is a lacquer artist, painter and Japanese painter who was active from the end of the Edo period to the middle of the Meiji period. He is a craftsman who played a role of bridging from the early modern period to the modern period in the field of lacquering in Japan. This item is not new.
