This is a beautiful and rare original woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi of two wrestlers rendered in beautiful, bright colors, with a blue water background. Kuniyoshi was known for his elegant visual treatment of water in his work, and this is fine example. Kuniyoshi was one of the last great woodblock masters. Measurements: 14.5 x 7 inches. Beautiful, fresh, bright colors. 3/4 inch tear at middle right visible in photos. Minor creases and scuffs. Please see photos for details.
