Antique Original 19th Century Japanese Woodblock Print Kikukawa Eizan / Kikugawa Eizan. This is a lovely antique original print by Kikukawa Eizan / Kikugawa Eizan of a courtesan walking in garden with attendant and young boy, possibly learning to walk. It depicts two women walking in garden with a young boy, possibly toddler learning to walk. Kikukawa (Kikugawa) Eizan (1787 – July 17, 1867) was a designer of ukiyo-e style Japanese woodblock prints. He was active as a woodblock printer through 1840, giving up woodblock prints in favor of painting. In the 1830s he did many prints of beautiful women. Condition: Condition is commensurate with age and use, normal fading for age. There are several crease marks. An old minor repair is visible on the back. Minor loss at lower right edge, and minor tear at top right edge. Minor remnants of tape on back corners. Measurements: 15 x 10 inches.
