Antique Japanese Woodblock Print Ooku Kabuki Nishiki-e, Utagawa Kunisada III
Thank you for viewing. This work is believed to have been made by Utagawa Kunisada III around the time of Kunimasa IV. The subject is a famous scene from the Kabuki play “Kagamiyama Kokyo no Nishikie” in which a woman plays the “Zori-uchi” (a kind of sandal-putting). The painting is in good condition, but please check the photos.
