MAKI HAKU (Japanese, 1924 – 2000). An original woodblock print. Numbered (38 / 283), titled and signed in pencil by the artist, with red rubber seal stamp. This is an interesting print by one of Japan’s most prolific and foremost printmakers of the 20th century. Another example of this exact print (numbered 16) is held in the permanent collection of the Honolulu Museum of Art. A striking design of three bunches of grapes, in dark pigment, surrounded by a subtle dark-grey’halo’ or bleed. A great addition to any 20th century Japanese print collection. Overall, including the frame, 24.5 x 29.5 cms. There are some foxing spots on this picture (please zoom in on all pictures and view carefully) and some overall colouring to the paper. However, the picture is still very attractive and reads well. All items are packed with care, to a high standard and sent via tracked and signed for courier. Arrived on time and as described. If I could leave a million stars, I would. SUPERB: accurately described, well packed and sent quickly – highly recommended! IF THERE WAS A SCORE HIGHER THAN 5 STARS THIS EBAYER WOULD DESERVE IT A++++. Superb communication, very honest and helpful. Many thanks for looking!
