This is a very hard to find original 1937 Japanese woodblock print by the famous artist Tsuchiya Koitsu. It is titled Nagoya Castle. It is printed on an 11-1/8″ x 16-5/8″ paper. It has the publisher’s marks on the white border. In the top left corner on the white border there is a Japanese watermark symbol inside a circle. It is very similar to the kanji? For earth / soil. This print is in great condition; no holes, tears, creases, or water stains. The only thing I can see is above the adjacent building on the edge of the right border, you can see a slight discolored line. This is from when it was framed and there was a matte on the print. Otherwise it is excellent. The back side has some tape marks. There is just some dry residue left but it does not come through to the front side at all. This is a quite sought-after artist and a hard print to find. Please ask if you have any questions.
