Rare Prince Genji Triptych, c. He was active in the Edo Period during the final years of the Tokugawa shogunate. His work was diverse and covered a broad range of subjects. Marvelous scene of 2 upper class women enjoying peaceful boat ride while Prince Genji watches from a nearby deck on the left overlooking the pond. The boat is poled by attendants dressed in colorful costumes. Would be lovely displayed in your home or office. Kuniyoshi’s masterworks are in the collections of many of the world’s great museums.
