Japanese woodblock print Kabuki Lion Dance by Sadanobu Hasegawa
His Kabuki woodblocks are more rare than his more numerous female featured prints. This piece is entitled Kagamijishi (Lion Dance). It is Kabuki Dance by Nagauta music which is arranged a gallantry of Lion. The actor patterns upon Noh-play the first half this dance and the last half, plays a madness of Lion. The excellent contrast between such as elegance and gallantry is the leading attraction in this dance.
