Shotei (born Hiroaki Takahashi) was one of the most influential 20th century woodblock artists, ushering in the shin hanga movement that completely revolutionized the field. This print is an original print from 1920. It was executed on chirimen gami-e, a crepe paper print often utilized by Shotei. It is titled Junk in Moonlight. It’s rare to find one of Shotei’s original chirimen gami-e prints. Print is antique chirimin gami-e (crepe paper) original to 1920. Shows a fair amount of creasing.
