This is one of Shiro Kasamatsu’s very hard to find self published prints from 1957. These prints were done in limited editions, although the numbering was inconsistent – this was simply numbered No. It is an interesting monochrome treatment of a temple wall, trees, and puddles at night, with some of his characteristically subtle reflections in water. The title is”Rainy Season”. Like most of these, it’s signed in pencil in the margins. It is unframed and large double oban sized – the paper is 21″ x 16″, print 19.25″ x 15″.
