Yurimoto studied under renowned masters such as Shoen Uemura and Suisho Nishiyama, and her work was accepted into prestigious exhibitions like the Nitten and Teiten. She is also recognized as the wife of the celebrated Bijinga (beauty painting) master, Daizaburo Nakamura. This captivating print depicts a woman in a black kimono playing a taiko drum. The print boasts exceptionally high-quality carving and printing (suri), a testament to the skill involved in its creation. This is a rare first impression (hatsuzuri) from the prestigious Kyoto Hanga-in (Kyoto Print Institute), a renowned publisher. 28.5 cm (11.2 in) x 41 cm (16.1 in). Condition: As shown in the photos. For a print of its age, the condition is above average. There are minor foxing (small stains), slight creasing, and adhesive residue on the reverse side from previous mounting. There are traces of pigment in the margin (white border) areas.
