He earned his degree from the oil painting department of the Musashino College of Fine Arts. Fujita’s artistic focus lies in depicting landscapes, which he simplifies to their essential design elements and lines while maintaining a representational style. His works have garnered popularity among art collectors. Fumio Fujita, born in Aichi province in 1933, graduated from the renowned Musashino College of Fine Arts in 1955. In 1963, he embarked on creating woodlbock prints in the. While his primary subjects often revolve around landscapes with a focus on trees, this theme gained popularity among Japanese printmakers following the success of another artist, Joichi Hoshit who achieved fame for predominantly creating tree-centric images.
