Toshi Yoshida is best known for his woodblock prints. He was also a painter and illustrator. His work consists of realistic landscapes, detailed portraits of animals, and some abstract works. Yoshida was a second-generation Japanese woodblock printmaker. Both his father, Hiroshi Yoshida, and mother, Fujio Yoshida, were artists. He learned the woodblock technique in his father’s studio.
