Original post-quake 1920s TAKAHASHI HIROAKI SHOTEI Japanese Woodblock “COLD WINTER WIND” Art Piece. The artwork measures 15″x6.5″. The frame measures 19.5×11. The piece appears to be faded from UV light. The background is still black but other colors are not bright but rather muted/pale. It’s in a vintage frame with original glass (some scuffs on the outer edges of the frame). The cardboard to which the art was attached, however, was replaced because it has disintegrated. The image has been placed on a vintage sketching/drafting paper using a very light coat of mucilage just at the top to keep it in place the way it was found. The original cardboard is enclosed behind the white layer. The frame has an old sticker from the frame shop in Middletown NY (underneath the outer white layer). It’s a wonderful piece of Japanese culture that will look fantastic on display. Please message if you need more pictures or have questions. The package will be insured.
